1.Introduction#

Welcome to eTayuba, an online educational platform designed to help students prepare for the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) and West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).

Our platform provides access to past examination questions, answers, step-by-step explanations, topic-based practice, AI-powered learning assistance and other educational resources.

By creating an account, purchasing a subscription or using eTayuba, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

If you do not agree with these terms, please discontinue using the platform.

2.Eligibility and account registration#

Users may register through the available registration methods, including phone numbers or usernames and passwords.

By registering, you agree that:

  • The information you provide is accurate.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account.
  • You will not share your login credentials with unauthorised persons.
  • You will not impersonate another person or create fraudulent accounts.
  • You will notify us if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.

Students under 18 should use the platform with the consent or supervision of a parent, guardian or authorised school representative.

We reserve the right to suspend accounts involved in fraudulent activities, unauthorised access or violations of these terms.

3.Educational content and services#

eTayuba provides educational materials and learning tools, including:

  • BECE and WASSCE past examination questions.
  • Objective and theory questions.
  • Answers and step-by-step explanations.
  • Practice questions organised by subject, topic and year.
  • AI Solver for educational assistance.
  • Practice tests, scores and performance reviews.
  • School-managed student accounts and subscriptions.

We may introduce, modify or discontinue features as the platform develops.

Although we aim to provide accurate educational content, we do not guarantee that every question, answer or explanation will be free from errors.

4.Subscriptions and payments#

Certain features and educational resources require a paid subscription.

By purchasing a subscription, you agree that:

  1. Subscription prices will be displayed before payment.
  2. Access will be activated after successful payment confirmation or valid access-code redemption.
  3. Subscription validity begins from the date of activation unless otherwise stated.
  4. A one-year subscription remains valid for 12 months from activation.
  5. Subscription access expires at the end of the purchased period unless renewed.
  6. Subscription fees and packages may change, but changes will not shorten an already activated subscription.
  7. Payments may be processed through authorised third-party payment providers.

Subscriptions do not automatically renew unless an automatic renewal option is expressly introduced and accepted by the user.

5.Refund and cancellation policy#

Users are encouraged to review subscription details before making payment.

Once a subscription has been successfully activated and access provided, subscription fees are generally non-refundable, except where required by applicable law.

Refunds or appropriate remedies may be considered in circumstances including:

  • Duplicate payments.
  • Payments successfully deducted without corresponding subscription activation.
  • Technical errors resulting in an incorrect charge.
  • Other circumstances requiring a refund under applicable consumer protection laws.

Where a payment is successful but activation is delayed, users should contact support before making another payment.

Cancellation of an account does not automatically entitle the user to a refund for unused subscription time.

6.Access codes, discount codes and school subscriptions#

eTayuba may issue access codes, discount codes and school subscription packages.

Users agree that:

  • Access codes must be obtained through authorised channels.
  • Codes may have specific validity periods, eligibility requirements or redemption limits.
  • Discount codes reduce applicable charges but do not necessarily grant free access.
  • Fraudulent, stolen or unauthorised codes may be rejected or cancelled.
  • Codes cannot be exchanged for cash unless expressly permitted.

Schools may purchase subscription slots and allocate them to enrolled students.

School administrators are responsible for approving student enrolments, allocating purchased subscription slots and managing accounts under their institutions.

A school enrolment code does not automatically grant a paid subscription unless the applicable subscription requirements have been satisfied.

Students may retain their personal accounts after leaving a school, subject to the platform’s account and subscription rules.

7.AI Solver and AI-generated responses#

eTayuba includes AI-powered educational assistance intended to support learning and understanding.

Users acknowledge that:

  1. AI-generated responses may occasionally contain errors or incomplete explanations.
  2. AI assistance is intended to support learning and should not replace independent study or guidance from teachers.
  3. AI responses should be reviewed carefully, especially for mathematical calculations and examination solutions.
  4. Access to AI features may be subject to reasonable usage limits to maintain service availability.
  5. Users must not misuse AI features through automated requests, excessive usage or attempts to disrupt the platform.

We may modify AI features, usage allowances or available models to maintain service quality.

8.Practice tests and examination results#

The platform may automatically score objective questions and provide answers, explanations and performance summaries.

Theory questions may require students to write their answers separately and compare them with the provided worked solutions.

Scores obtained through eTayuba are for practice and educational assessment only.

eTayuba does not guarantee examination success, particular grades or admission into any educational institution.

Official examination results are determined solely by the relevant examination authorities.

9.Intellectual property and copyright#

The eTayuba platform, including its original software, design, branding, original explanations, learning tools and other proprietary materials, is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Past examination questions and third-party educational materials remain subject to the intellectual property rights of their respective owners.

Access to content does not transfer ownership or copyright to users.

Users may access educational materials for personal learning and authorised classroom activities.

Without appropriate permission, users must not:

  • Reproduce or commercially redistribute substantial portions of platform content.
  • Sell, sublicense or republish materials obtained through the platform.
  • Copy or reproduce the platform’s proprietary software or design.
  • Use automated tools to scrape, extract or download content in bulk.
  • Remove copyright notices or ownership information.

Nothing in these terms restricts uses permitted by applicable copyright law.

10.Acceptable use#

Users must use eTayuba responsibly and for lawful educational purposes.

The following activities are prohibited:

  • Hacking or attempting to gain unauthorised access.
  • Sharing accounts to bypass subscription requirements.
  • Using automated bots to abuse platform services.
  • Uploading malicious software or harmful content.
  • Attempting to bypass payment or access controls.
  • Engaging in fraudulent transactions.
  • Interfering with the platform’s normal operation.
  • Using the platform for unlawful purposes.

Violations may result in account restrictions, suspension or termination.

11.School accounts and administration#

Schools using eTayuba may be provided with administrative tools to manage student enrolment and subscription access.

School administrators may be permitted to:

  • Approve or reject student enrolment requests.
  • Allocate available subscription slots.
  • Manage school-linked student accounts.
  • Assist students with password resets.
  • View authorised student learning or subscription information.

Schools must use these privileges responsibly and protect students’ personal information.

A school’s authority over a student account does not automatically extend to personal information unrelated to the school’s educational administration.

12.Privacy and personal information#

We may collect and process information necessary to operate the platform, including:

  • Names and usernames.
  • Phone numbers and other contact details.
  • Account and subscription information.
  • Payment transaction references.
  • Learning activities, practice scores and progress.
  • Technical information required for security and service improvement.

Personal information will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable Ghanaian data protection laws.

Users should review our separate Privacy Policy for information about data collection, usage, retention, sharing and their rights.

13.Service availability#

We aim to keep eTayuba accessible and functioning reliably.

However, uninterrupted service cannot be guaranteed.

Access may occasionally be affected by:

  • Scheduled maintenance.
  • Internet connectivity problems.
  • Server or hosting interruptions.
  • Third-party service failures.
  • Payment processing delays.
  • Technical updates or security incidents.

We will make reasonable efforts to resolve disruptions promptly.

Where a substantial service disruption affects paid access, we may provide an appropriate remedy in accordance with applicable law.

14.Account suspension and termination#

We reserve the right to restrict, suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms and Conditions.

Where appropriate, users may be notified of the reason for suspension and given an opportunity to resolve the issue.

Users may also request account closure through our support channels.

Closing an account does not automatically cancel outstanding payment obligations or entitle a user to a refund.

15.Limitation of liability#

eTayuba provides educational resources to support examination preparation.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not responsible for examination outcomes, individual academic performance or losses arising from factors outside our reasonable control.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded, including applicable statutory consumer rights.

16.Changes to Terms and Conditions#

We may update these Terms and Conditions to reflect changes in our services, legal obligations or operating policies.

Updated terms will be published on our website with a revised effective date.

Where changes materially affect users’ rights or obligations, we will take reasonable steps to notify affected users.

Continued use of the platform after applicable changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms, where legally permitted.

17.Governing law#

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana.

Any dispute arising from the use of eTayuba shall be handled in accordance with applicable Ghanaian law.

18.Contact and support#

For subscription enquiries, payment issues, technical assistance, account concerns or other questions, please contact us through our official website.
